Project Silicon-Fire-Mobil Station

One focus of the R&D work at Silicon Fire during recent years has been the engineering and construction of the Silicon Fire mobile station. After more than five years of development work, the Silicon Fire mobile station is now complete and has been running for several months. It is the world's first mobile hydrogen-methanol refinery. It generates hydrogen-methanol from regenerative energy, water (hydrogen) and carbon dioxide (extracted from industrial waste).

The Silicon Fire mobile station will be rolled out shortly. Anyone can operate it without previous knowledge after a brief period of familiarisation.

The Silicon Fire mobile station is the same size as a standard sea freight container. The hydrogen is also housed in a shock-proof container that can be safely transported. This guarantees optimum mobility. The relatively small dimensions of the complete refinery enable visually discreet integration at the respective location.

With the aid of the Silicon Fire mobile station both regenerative and conventional electricity can be stored simply and efficiently and consumed again on demand. The Silicon Fire mobile station represents an economic addition to solar power plants and wind turbines, and even to conventional power plants. Electricity can be stored at any time in the form of hydrogen-methanol, which means that attempts to store electricity in the form of electric batteries, which are considered environmentally detrimental, are no longer necessary.

The CODE-X-yacht has a drive mechanism that allows mixing Silicon Fire with conventional fuel to reduce CO2 emissions

Alternatively, CODE-X-yachts may be ordered with the Silicon Fire-drive train which runs only on the basis of Silicon Fire.

Silicon Fire has developed a process for synthesizing liquid combustible fuel which is envisioned as a viable substitute for petrol. Silicon Fire Hydrogen-Methanol is already a proven technology. Three Dymax boats from the German shipyard Feller Yachting, exclusively powered by Hydrogen-Methanol demonstrate on Lake Lucerne/Switzerland, how much fun the symbiosis of a green conscience and driving pleasure can be. Visit us and find out for yourself.

In January Silicon Fire AG presented hydrogen-methanol at the boat trade fair 2011 in Dusseldorf.
